Resilience is a balance-sheet question before it is a security one.
Mapping exposure across suppliers, systems and regulators.
The average company can expect a disruption of one to two months every 3.7 years, and stands to lose more than 40% of one year’s profit to supply-chain shocks once a decade. That is McKinsey Global Institute’s finding across 325 companies in 13 industries.
Resilience is usually filed under security or continuity. It belongs on the balance sheet. Exposure sits in suppliers, systems, regulators and single points of failure in the operation itself, and most of it is unpriced.
We map exposure end to end, put a number on each concentration, and decide with leadership which to carry, which to insure and which to remove. The output is a register the board can read and a programme with owners, not a policy document.
